We’re pleased to welcome Universal Production Music a new BAFTA albert supporter, joining our shared mission to inspire a more sustainable screen industry.
As a supporter, Universal Production Music is championing a new way forward in the industry. Through its Green Production Music initiative, the company is working to reduce the environmental impact of music used in film and television. From its composition and recording to its distribution, Universal Production Music demonstrates that soundtracks can support sustainability without compromising on quality or creativity.
Its innovative approach includes working with eco-conscious composers who follow its Go Green Guidelines, developed with environmental experts at Pilio. These guidelines help ensure that carbon emissions are minimised throughout the music-making process.
As part of our work together, Universal Production Music has also partnered with BAFTA and BAFTA albert for the Green Light Season – a series of live events and screenings designed to inspire climate action across the creative industries. Universal Production Music’s Green Production Music has featured throughout the season, soundtracking the events.
Universal Production Music also joined us in Bristol on 30 September for one of the final events of the season, Green Light: Make it Matter – Creative Industries Powering Climate Storytelling. The event explored how creative industries can lead the charge in climate storytelling and Universal Production Music spoke about the role music can play in that journey. It has also brought its team of music experts along to Green Light events to connect with attendees and answer questions about sustainable music production.
