Screen New Deal Wales Training - IN-PERSON Jan 11th/Apr 5th

Time

14:00-17:00

About this event

*This will be held in-person at the BBC in Central Square in Cardiff*

Through a pilot study A Screen New Deal: Transformation Plan, albert, the BFI, and Arup are working together with Creative Wales, Ffilm Cymru and Clwstwr to conduct localised data collection and mapping.

This will:

  • Identify film and HETV-related services which already exist in the area
  • Highlight service gaps
  • Advance the creation of a location-based transformation plan to decarbonise TV and film production in Wales.

Our 2-hour sessions, available to everyone engaged with Film and HETV productions as production staff, crew, studios or suppliers provide an optimistic, science-based, solution-centric and enjoyable introduction to the environmental challenges we face.

We will explain the science of climate change and the aims and opportunities of Screen New Deal Wales.

We want to establish common goals. The Welsh screen sector must agree consensus for long term zero-carbon, zero-waste solutions.

We want to explain the opportunity and foster a culture of optimism and positivity between industry communities.
