Our second Soap Summit will build on last year’s discussions and look at how we can put the climate into our storylines following a year unlike any other.

For many – the climate crisis is something that’s happening to ‘other people, over there’. It conjures thoughts on wildfires on the other side of the planet, or polar bears standing on melting icecaps. But climate change is happening right here in our homes, and our actions – our food choices, fashion purchases, energy use – all play a part.

Join us for our second soap summit to discuss :

The everyday topics we can weave into storylines – how do we make the climate crisis real and more pertinent to our characters and therefore audience

How continuing drama scriptwriters can help demonstrate some of the positive actions we can take as a society through their characters

What opportunities the climate crisis creates for new storylines and subplots

What the risks are if we don’t adapt our scripts and bring the climate into our content?

This event is limited to those who are currently working in an editorial capacity in continuing drama. If you wish to attend, please send your name and job title to info@wearealbert.org
