To ensure the directory remains a trusted and valuable resource for the industry, we charge a small fee to cover essential administrative costs and ensure we can continue to invest in our supplier strategy. This includes expenses for our vetting partner, regular updates to the website, and maintaining our application and certification platforms. By supporting these operations, the fee helps keep the directory current, reliable, and useful for productions seeking sustainable suppliers.
Joining the BAFTA albert Supplier Directory is a valuable investment in growing your business, offering you marketing benefits, industry recognition, and a pathway to meaningful connections with customers that are increasingly prioritising sustainable suppliers.
As a supplier listed on the BAFTA albert Supplier Directory, you will be placing your business on an industry-recognised platform dedicated to sustainability in TV and film production. As the home of sustainability in this sector, albert’s website is highly trusted and widely referenced by broadcasters, production companies, and productions of all sizes, giving you an incredible opportunity to showcase your commitment to sustainable practices directly to the clients you want to reach. Being part of the directory not only enhances your visibility but also opens doors to a broader audience through cross-listings with other supplier directories such as Filming in England.
In addition, we’re actively marketing the list to relevant industry stakeholders to ensure it becomes a go-to resource for those seeking sustainable products and services. You’ll benefit from exposure in albert’s marketing efforts, amplifying your reach to potential clients, and reinforcing your brand’s alignment with sustainability goals.
Yes, we have a comprehensive trade marketing plan in place. This includes regular features in our newsletter, participation in industry events to launch and promote the new directory, and collaborations with other industry lists and directories to ensure cross-promotion. Yes, applications will be open year-round. However, assessments will take place four times a year, with a full schedule of assessment periods published on the suppliers’ website once the directory is live. If you miss one assessment period, your application will be reviewed in the next cycle.
Once accepted, you will be eligible to remain on the directory for one year. However, you will need to reapply each year to maintain your listing. We will send a reminder ahead of your renewal period to ensure you don’t miss the opportunity to continue being listed.
Requirements of inclusion on the list can be found here.
We understand that budget constraints can be challenging, especially for small businesses. The fee is essential for covering the directory’s maintenance and vetting process, ensuring it remains a trusted resource, which ultimately benefits suppliers by attracting clients who prioritise sustainability. If you are a charity, CIC or micro-business making a significant impact in sustainability but operating on a very low income, we have a small number of discounted available each round, however this is not guaranteed. Please email [email protected] to find out more.
Clear guidance on eligibility criteria will be provided on the supplier page and we will include pre-screening questions and eligibility guidance within the application form to help clarify who can qualify. We will also provide one round of feedback where we require additional information to assess your application. Please note that, due to the administrative costs associated with processing applications, we are unable to offer refunds if your application fee is paid and your company is not accepted.
You can find details of the supplier directory criteria here.
You will be notified of your acceptance via a confirmation email. This email will also include the date we plan to upload your company onto the directory. Once your profile is live, you will receive marketing materials, including the logo, to help you promote your listing.

No, being listed in the BAFTA albert Suppliers Directory is not an environmental accreditation or certification. The directory serves as a platform to showcase suppliers who operate as sustainable companies or provide sustainable products and services. Suppliers listed in the directory should not claim accreditation or partnership with BAFTA albert. Instead, you may use the approved phrasing: “Find us on the BAFTA albert Suppliers Directory” or “We’re listed on the BAFTA albert Suppliers Directory.” Badges and communications materials will reflect this messaging.
Currently, we are only accepting companies that operate or are based in the UK, as our criteria are explicitly tailored to the UK market. We recommend looking into local sustainability organisations; for example, you can use the Sustainable Screens Australia Directory in Australia
Yes, you are welcome to apply in future rounds. Please note that criteria and fees may be reassessed regularly between application periods, and assessments will only happen quarterly. Please check the Suppliers Directory homepage to see the next assessment period.
The vetting process will be managed by BAFTA albert, in collaborating with Sustainable Film. Together, we ensure that suppliers meet essential sustainability criteria relevant to the TV and film industry. Where we deem any potential conflicts of interest arise during vetting, these will be assessed in-house with the albert team.
