BAFTA albert won!
Yesterday evening we were honoured to receive a special recognition award at the Global Production Awards for albert’s work with the screen industries to reduce carbon emissions on set and use the power of storytelling to enact climate action.
A big thanks to the team at Screen Daily for recognising the impact albert is trying to create and supporting our ambition for a thriving, creative and sustainable screen industry.
Matt Scarff, BAFTA albert, Managing Director said; “albert has been working with the screen industries for over 13 years, supporting producers and productions to reduce carbon emissions and drive down their impact. This award is dedicated to everyone out there who is working so hard on their productions to make a change and to albert members and partners for their continued support.”
Last night’s award comes at the end of a brilliant week in Cannes at The Marche du Film, meeting people from across the globe and discussing the opportunity for environmental action and change.
This was the first time BAFTA albert has attended Cannes. The team spent the week delivering ImpAct sustainability workshops, attending producer breakfasts, meeting international partners, supporters and associates and speaking on panels.
We’re now back in London brimming with ideas for 2025 and beyond!
