Irish language broadcaster TG4 has revealed that as part of its commitment to sustainable production practices and achieving the targets of the Climate Action Plan, all productions commissioned by TG4 will be required to use the albert carbon calculator to monitor carbon footprint from January 2021.
Roser Canela-Mas, albert’s International Manager commented “We are very proud that TG4 is the first broadcaster outside the UK to make the use of albert’s carbon calculator mandatory. It is very important that broadcasters require their productions to measure their carbon footprints, as this is key in building the strategies that will help us in reducing the overall environmental impact we have as an industry.”
